How do I setup my dial-up in Windows? To set up your Internet Connection, simply follow these steps: 1. On the desktop, click on My Computer 3. Open the Internet Options. The following screen will appear:
Select the Connections tab, and click Setup. 4. The Internet Connection Wizard will now appear:
Select I want to set up my Internet Connection Manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN), and click the Next button. 5. The Wizard will then ask you how you want to connect to the Internet:
Select I connect through a phone line and a modem. Click the Next button to continue. 6. The phone number that connects your computer to the ISP (RocketUK.net) then needs to be entered:
Enter the Internet Access Telephone Number, which has been provided to you by Midland Computers Ltd / RocketUK.net. · Within the UK 0845 1300322 Ensure the Country/region name and code is correct. Select Next to continue. 7. Using the information provided to you, enter you Username and Password. Please ensure that you enter your Username and Password for the DialUp Connection and not the Username and Password for your Email account.
Select Next to continue. 8. Enter a name in the box titled Connection Name. This can be of the ISP (RocketUK.net) or any name you wish to use. Click Next.
9. When you are asked to setup your Internet mail account, select No, then click Next.
If you select Yes, please refer to our document entitled Receiving Email using Microsoft Outlook 98, 2000 and Outlook Express 4, 5, 6. 10. Click Finish to complete setting up your Dial-Up Internet Connection.
You can now connect to the Internet at any time by loading Internet Explorer.
